Dried Rice Extract, used an an adjunct in brewing. Rice extract provides fermentable sugar, but has a relatively light, neutral flavor. Use it in beers when you want to increase the alcohol level but not add the residual sweetness that barley malt extract can impart.
With Dried Rice Extract (DRE) you are essentially adding a flavorless, fermentable sugars to your beer. It lightens flavor and adds alcohol without leaving sweetness behind. It works well for light style beers, or any beer where you want to add fermentables without increasing body.
Sugars by weight: 5% Glucose, 42% Maltose.
