Wort Rally 2026 – Belgian Dubbel

This the best brew day ever and you support a great cause!

The folks at Buffalo Creek Brewing will be doing all the heavy lifting—literally. They’ll be brewing up a large batch of wort (unfermented beer), and all you need to do is donate and pick up your wort to ferment at home. No brew day, no cleanup, and no time spent making the beer—just add yeast. Easiest brew day ever.

Just like in years past, you’ll also have the opportunity to enter our friendly competition—Iron Brewer–style. Choose your “region” by selecting the yeast you’d like to use, then add any special touches you see fit. Beers will be judged in a March Madness–style bracket to determine regional winners and one overall champion.

Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony at Buffalo Creek Brewery in March.

Wort Pickup: Saturday, January 24, 2026
Location: Buffalo Creek Brewing – Long Grove, IL

Price: $60 per 5 gallons
Goal: Raise $10,000
Cash donations are also accepted, just put in the notes " Non Brewer"

Includes: Pre-made Belgian Dubbel wort
You Provide: Yeast and fermentation at home

Competition: All participants are invited to enter our March Madness–style brew challenge.

How to Compete:
Use your creativity—add dry hops, oak, vanilla, or more!
Submit three 12-oz amber bottles by the drop-off deadline (details TBD).

Awards Ceremony:
Winners will be announced at Buffalo Creek Brewing (March 2026 TBD).
