Spike CIP Ball

Another cool innovation from the Spike engineers; our low pressure CIP ball! We wanted to design a CIP ball that didn’t require home brewers to purchase another pump if they already owned one. Small brewery pumps, like the Chugger pumps used on our Spike System, are very common for most home brewers. However, most CIP balls require a much larger pump to work properly. This CIP ball was specifically designed to work with a the 7GPM Chugger pump. It has also been tested with larger sump pumps which are also commonly used for CIP applications.

We also designed the CIP ball to fit through a 1.5" TC port. This allows the blow off tube to be swapped out with the CIP ball after fermentation. This works especially well with cleaning the temp control coil. We recommend a 5-10min CIP with 160F brewery wash to give a nice and shiny conical.
